.oo8 ; Heavensward's First Early Access Day Adventures!

First things first, HAPPY HW DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. Expansion day! Fuck yea. Finally.
fdmslzgnkrakk /explodes.

This Post Contains: Minor Story Spoilers (No Dialog to read), Minor Side Quest Spoilers, Screenshots of New Area's, and Minor Whitemage Spoilers.

Anyways. . . .
For all who don't know, my raid class is my top priority, and that lucky class is WHM (: So I jumped right into the game this morning and hopped on over to pick up my class quest and get that out of the way. It felt nostalgic to do my main class quests, and visit my main classes' NPC trainer. Not to mention I actually really like the Whitemage trainers. They're so cute and small compared to my already small character xD So cute, so cute.  Of course when you accept your new level 50 class, you don't get any armor, or skills. The actual point to the new 50 quest is to introduce you to your new quest giver for the 52 ~ 60 quests, that do indeed give you skills.
To my surprise, doing the class quests is the only way to get new skills. There's no skills you get when you level, only from the quests. Which I guess makes sense, cause they're JOB skills, not class skills. You sneaky Square Enix youuuuu. So I can't really complain. I'll just have to make sure to go back every 2 levels and do the quests before I go and dungeon grind. What made me laugh was when I met my new Class Quest giver, she was a dragoon. Not a whitemage, but a dragoon. Can you imagine it? Learning to heal from a melee DPS class. The. Logic. Okay but for real, I didn't really pay attention too much to the dialog, but she's related to our dear Soulstone person. Yes, yes I'm admitting it, I forgot his name. I'm a horrible Whitemage, and I admit it. I think she's his great great daughter or something? But considering she's a dragoon and not a healer, be warned you'll probably be doing most, if not all, of the healing during class quests, on top of dpsing. The level 52 quest wasn't that bad, but just make sure to keep your allies up, and abuse the regen skill.  I'm not sure how I feel about the nerfs to whitemage, but I will say it was one of the few ways to make the healing field even for all classes to be viable in raiding. Enough about classes though, I'm not here to chit-chat more about class changes.

Jumping back on track to Ishgard and Heavensward content, I scurried my Miqo'te arse into CCH and picked up the opening quest line for the new content. It felt so nice to finally progress somewhere with content again. Especially considering all the cliffhangers and all the excitement that we were left to sit on until expansion. Sooooooo good to finally get back on top of that story. I need answers people!! Not to mention, the Scion's are muh bb's, so it was good to be with them again. Of course there were missing pieces, I don't want to really get specific given the chances someone who's new to the story line might not be caught up with everyone else, but ya'll know who I'm talking about. RIP feels. I want to say more, but I can't spoil it for you guys! I'll just say you'll be surprised at how early certain details are shared  (:

So after much chit-chatting among each other and the knights from Ishgard, we finally made our way to the gate that leads to the city, and of course.. I.. uh... well, you can all see the picture.

I have to say, when I arrived at the city, I was in awe. in 2.0 content, I spent most of my time in Gridnia, Ul'dah, Mor Dhona, and my FC's housing area. So coming into such a huge city that differs in height much greater than what I'm use to, plus all the structures everywhere, with snow, and a medieval feel definitely was something to stop and stare at.  I took a lot of screenshots, but I want you guys to have the same type of experience I had when I entered the city, so I'm only sharing very little.

Back to the story quests, something I think we've all been waiting for is finally meeting this Lord Fortemp's that we've been helping out in CCH all this time, and that's exactly what we got to do. I'm very impressed with how much voice over that Square Enix put into this expansion. A lot of voice over in story quests, and even in solo duty's. Very proud to see them put extra work in, and very happy to see such things implemented. It really breathes life into what you're doing in game. Anyways, this Lord Fortemp is actually a really likeable guy, I like him, if I lived in Eorzea it'd be an honor to work for him. He's a good guy, you know? Though he's got an interesting mustache.. I'll give him kudo's for his very nice house, and fancy outfit. For Ishgard's known reputation of being closed off, and unfriendly to new comers, he's pretty much the opposite. He kinda has to be at this point, we've been helping his knights in CCH since we were level 30. xD But you guys get my point :3 I'm impressed, and pleased with Lord Fortemp, not to mention he's got a good voice actor too.I think my only complaint would be that his house is an actual instance.
 I guess in light of 2.0 content regards when it comes to the Waking Sands, and then the base in Mor Dhona, I really have no place to complain, I'm just lazy and don't want to waste time in loading screens, and talking to NPC's to enter places. Btw, Lord Fortemp, I'd like to buy your house pls ;-;

<--lol rekt.
i shipped myself with Alphinaud because #dealwithit.

But back to more a more serious tone, there's a lot I did today, and I wish I could share more, but work took a lot of energy out of me today, and I still have things I want to do in FFXIV:HW before I retire for the night, so I leave you with a collection of screenshots I wanted to share with you<3. I'll share all my adventures within the dungeons come another post, but just so you know, I got through the first dungeon before I made this post, and I aim to get through the second newest dungeon by the end of tonight >:3

and... this.. this right here, omfg, for those who know me, and know me very well, you'll understand why this quest is my favorite quest of not only the expansion, but the whole game.
okay bb's, it's back to adventuring for me. <3 Take care.

.oo7 ; Prep for Heavensward, completed!

Finalllyyyyyyy, I managed to do everything I planned for before expansion came out, with a little over a week or so to spare. x.x; What took the longest for me to complete was leveling the DPS classes. Ugh, going from queuing all the time as a healer, to a DPS? /wrist. I felt like I was crawling through the queue times to get a party. I made it though! level 50 bard, and level 50 ninja. Bard first started off just to get Quelling strikes @34, but I decided to go all the way with it, huehueuhesexualpunshue, and it was pretty fun. I don't actually play the class that often, or do anything with it, but I collected a couple Dreadwyrm pieces, and the Dreadwyrm bow too, so I figured I'd finish the class and add another DPS class under my belt besides Blackmage and Summoner. When it came to leveling Ninja, my motivation was more selfish than anything. Growing up, I played, and loved (still love it) a series called ".Hack//" and in each trilogy the main character was a class that was able to wield twin blades, or in Ninja's case, twin daggers.
So to have some nostalgic fun I decided to get Ninja to 50. Not to mention I haven't been able to set up my PS2 yet T_T;. Not to mention it seemed like a really fun melee class to play as well. I do plan on leveling the other classes as well, I'm currently interested in Dragoon just because of it's skill set at 50 + expansion is pretty much revolved around Dragoon class, so why not? Right? Other than that, I think I'll honestly just get every other class to 30 for soulstones, and some to 34 for cross-class skills. Not a lot of time before expansion, and I'd like to start the early access with a full stack of rest exp >:] There's also an achievement for completing all the soulstone(job) quests for every class, so even more of an incentive to get working on it! Other than battleclasses, for a long time I've have all crafting to 50, and even all gathering to 50, and believe me, as fun as it may be for other people to do fishing, I was crawling to the finish line on that class. x__x Towards the end I practically cleaned out the marketboard of all the leve turn in fish because I got extremely impatient with fishing one by one >>;. All that matters is I was able to get everything I wanted to 50 with time to spare and relax. Super happy for myself there (:

Alongside leveling, I've been chasing after all sorts of achievements, because who doesn't love hoarding useless points in hopes they become of use later on? The one that took the longest that I've wanted since I saw it, was the Needle of Luminary achievement, otherwise known as the "A Weaver's Life for Me". It honestly adds nothing to your crafting, and it's more of an "e-peen" thing if you know what I mean. huehuehuehue. orz Which basically proves I have no life :D! I also finally got my Botanist Lucis! So now I've completed both sides of the Lucis relic line: one for crafting, and one for gathering. ;-; /tears of joy. I can get so motivated to do things, and then quickly get lazy and tell myself  "I deserve a day off of working on this", and then that turns into weeks off .__. #rektmuhself. I think if I had kept my momentum that I had when I was very determined, I'd probably have another Lucis or two by now to be honest;;. Maybe I'll work on another one, been gathering a lot of seals thanks to all this fate grinding to level Ninja to 50. XD; Only time will tell!

My raid group and I decided to tackle T6 Savage before we took our month break before Alexander. After all our farming was done we decided to sell, and after we got bored of that, we decided to challenge ourselves. Surprisingly, T6 Savage only took about.. 5 hours in total to down. It was a lot of fun reliving the old fight through Savage mode, and it brought back a lot of SCoB raiding memories as well. I wish we would have gotten around to the Savages sooner, we were getting close to learnign the last phase in T9 Savage before our break hit us, but maybe I'll find another group to get it down. /fingers crossed. Either way the Savage's aren't going anywhere, and I'm sure once we get more free time later on I can wiggle my way into dragging the raid group back to Savages. Iwanthosetitlesgdi.  COLLECT ALL THE THINGS orz someonestopme.

All that's left for me to hunt down is the two fisher quests in the questing area of the achievements to get that section done, collect some misc. titles from all sorts of achievements, and eventually, hopefully, get the Frontlines pony mount, and Frtonlines ADS mount. Because I have a horrible mount collecting obsession. Speaking of unhealthy obsessions, I've been hoarding vanity pets as well, because I like to collect useless knickknacks, and I fully accept that. That Apkallu pet will 4ever be out of my grasp, stupid sightseeing log.

For the actual expansion portion of all this hubbub, I've been collecting mass amounts of +3% EXP food from botanist, and slowly gathering supplies for crafting. Not sure what will come in handy when I get there, but I sure as hell know that making anything in crafting will give me XP, so where's the harm in making some level 50 stuff to desynth? Though for now, it's back to the slow lane, and I'm going to enjoy the rest of 2.0's content as best as I can.
Hopefully for those of you who play(and have read this far) get all that you want done before expansion as well (: Best of luck everyone <3
BACK TO THE ACHIEVEMENT HUNT! orz i need help.

.oo6 ; Yet another MOBA?

So for a long time, since the earlier months of League of Legends official release, I was hooked on MOBA's. In fact, I spent about 4+ years playing it, but always got interrupted, or more so distracted, by playing other games. So for about 5 years I'd spend playing, then stop playing, then go back to league, then onto another game. I probably spent over 200$+ on the game on just skins alone. x.x;; "Free to play". OTL Anywaayyyyssss;; Eventually I fell out of league completely, and even though it's still on my desktop to this day, it's gathered a lot of virtual dust(meaning I don't play it anymore.) But Morde es still number 1, huehuehuehuehuehue. (old players will understand).
When I received word that Blizzard was going to make their own MOBA using their 3 franchises: World of Warcraft, Starcraft (specifically SC2), and Diablo (specifically Diablo 3), I gotta admit, I got really excited. Though over time I got distracted by FFXIV, and I had forgotten all about it until I caught up with an old friend from elementary school. He's been playing the Beta ever since the first closed beta. So I decided to join, and it was love from the tutorial and onward. I don't really plan on getting into the details and differences in this post when it comes to LoL vs. Heroes of the Storm, I just want to share my thoughts, and progression <3.
*click on images to make them larger*

Throughout all online games, my typical favorite, and go-to-class will always remain healers/supports. So after browsing the store for a while, I came across a ranged support, "Tyrande" who had a mixture of crowd control, and one heal skill. So I decided that I'd buy her first. Andddddddddd, she costs 10k gold, and for those of you who don't play, you get 20 gold per win, and 10 gold per lose, but you always get bonus awards for leveling up to certain levels, and you have daily quests to do which give 300 ~800 gold. But, you can see how much time I spent to get her.
To this day she's still one of my favorites that I have (out of four champions). My other favorite came as a surprise to me. She was on the weekly heroes rotation, and I decided to give her a go. She's a ranged assassin, and a stealth unit, which surprised me down the road because I ended up loving her. She's Nova, and my god she's fun to play. Each hero has their own perks to playing, and Nova and Tyrande are my favorites so far. Heroes of the Storm doesn't have a system like League where you queue up, and then pick your heroes based on what everyone else wants; in HotS you pick your hero and then queue up. Which can be a good thing, or bad thing depending on what kind of team comp you get. Sometimes when I queue as Tyrande, I get paired with 3 other supports, and it can be a huge advantage, or disadvantage based on the enemy team. Then on the other hand, when I queue as Nova, sometimes I get a team of all squishy assassins and one support. Which... lets face it, can be a win/lose situation. So you can see where this gets messy, and tricky, but games typically take 11 ~ 25 minutes long. So if you were to ask me, do I hate it, or love it, my honest answer is, the games are so short it doesn't affect me when it comes to normal games. I've yet to play any ranked/league games yet, so I'm hoping that the queue system is different! (doubt it though)

What really caught my attention a few weeks after playing is they have a different type than league has, called "Specialist". These Specialists are either Heroes that spawn creeps/minions, or have great pushing abilities. (could really just combine the two as well). Sylvanas Windrunner is a Specialist class, and her particular ability stops creeps from attacking, and stops turrets from attack as well. Zagara is also another Specialist I've played. while she can't exactly stop turrets from firing, she summons different kinds of zerglings to help her do her dirty work. both of these heroes are really fun to play, considering their strengths are in lane pushing, and turret take down(s). So now I have a second favorite class type to play as, and I think that's what makes this game, among other aspects, my preference. Alongside Specialists and Support, I do like ranged DPS, preferably mage-like classes. So those are definitely on my to-buy list >:3 Speaking of which, here's my current to-buy list. <3 Currently I'm a little over 9k gold, and Sylvanas is next in line for me to buy, so not much longer ;-;' I'm coming bb! /crawls to 10k gold. OTL

Other than that, here's my stats as of today <3 For now it's back to the ol' grind. Take care :3

If you've read this far... /pets.
